  • A light-weight, ultra-durable wheel. It has a very high strength-to-weight ratio and is capable of long service under heavy loads. Red polyurethane is permanently bonded to aluminum core.
  • Temperature range: -45°F to +180°F.
  • Hardness: 55(±5) Durometer Shore D scale.
  • Finish: Aluminum. Zerk Fitting: Zerk grease fitting in hub is standard on 7 and 8 Series wheels.

Composed of a polyurethane elastomer, open cast or injection molded, on clean, close tolerance cores. Polyurethane tread is chemically bonded to a cast iron core. High capacity polyurethane protects floors, is non-marking and delivers quieter operation than standard metal wheels.

Tough, abrasion resistant, resilient polyurethane interlocked to a heavy section die cast aluminum core provides high load capacity, quiet, easy rolling, floor protection and guaranteed tread retention even in the most abusive conditions. Recommended for hand pushed and conveyor towed operation on any floor surface.

Honcho Polyurethane is not affected by water, oil and most chemicals and is non-marking and non-staining.

 Moldon Polyurethane on Iron

Polyurethane on cast iron is the most versatile and cost effective industrial wheel on the market. Trew’s polyurethane tread is liquid cast and chemically bonded to a Class 30 solid web cast iron center. The tread is resistant to most chemicals, protects floors, is quiet, has great load bearing, wears like iron, and is non-marking and non-sparking. The wheels can be equipped with a variety of bearings including the easy rolling ball bearing setup. We offer a very large selection of sizes and bearing combinations.  Polyurethane on Heavy Duty Iron

The same quality construction as our standard polyurethane on iron wheels except that treads are thicker than standard and the cast iron centers are a heavier design. All designs are based on the very rigorous expectations of the automotive industry. The thicker treads provide more cushioning and greater load bearing capacity within certain parameters. The heavy duty construction of these wheels make them ideal for power towed applications. For more extreme capacity applications we offer extra hard 70D polyurethane treads on all sizes listed. This material produces a softer durometer wheel that  resists the accumulation of metal chips, sheet metal screws, and foreign objects often found in manufacturing facilities. The high rebound of this material provides increased rollability in ergonomic in-plant applications, and has become a favorite in production line delivery systems across the country.

The K-Wheel is molded from a high strength urethane compound which possesses the load characteristics of steel but gives the smooth effortless ride you expect from polyurethane. Solid wheel has no plastic or metal core thereby eliminating any possibility of tread separation. It is not affected by blood, brine, greases, oils, or most harsh chemicals. It’s steam cleanable. Temperature operating range is -50°F to +180°F. Durometer is 55D. Standard color is blue.
